WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD BE LEARNING
 We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage relating to learning development and welfare of children. Learning and development is divided into the following 6 areas:
Communication, language and literacy. Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy. Knowledge and understanding Personal, social and emotional development Creative development. Physical development
At Stepping Stones the children are not taught but learn through exploration, experience and encouragement. They are encouraged to talk through their discoveries with a member of staff or another child to enhance their understanding.
The sessions include: Dough, clay, dry rice and pasta, water, sand, glue, paint, cookery, woodwork, plaster of paris, singing ,music and instruments, drama, games, puzzles, physical exercise, roll play corner, computer skills, technology, book/story corner. Construction, seasonal festivities plus visits from the Police, Fire Brigade, animal rescue and Fordingbridge museum.
Stepping Stones T shirts are not compulsory but they are available to buy if you so wish. These are very useful as sessions include using messy materials.
